Good article. I have high hopes for the next GT on PS4, as GT:5&6 while they are great games, were obviously limited in potential by its hardware. Incorporating real time lighting, volumetric smoke, high quality cars and environments without hindering a 1080p, 60hz performance wasn't really suitable for the PS3.
I really want a metal gear solid game on vita. I don't see why peace walker couldn't come to vita; it would have been perfect with its dual analogs and online functionality.

I don't see how you take issue with the base capturing mechanics as they couldn't be simpler: maintain control over a cap point for your faction (or multiple points if applicable) and defend them till the timer drops. It's classic king of the hill.

One thing I noticed while racing at evening or night in gt6; the player's car is the only car that dynamically casts light onto the environment. Its even more evident when you view the replays. I understand its to free up resources, mostly likely for the advanced physics engine, but its kinda hard to see the improvements in the graphics. Still, the driving feels a ton better than gt5, especially with the feedback using a racing wheel
...then you're playing it the wrong way. Planetside 2 is a game that's built almost entirely on the premise of working together with other players as a squad/platoon. When you first start the game, I'll agree it can be very intimidating trying to come to grips with the scope of the game. But you should try to join with organized squads/platoons as often as you can; an outfit would be best.

The game looks good, and I'm looking forward to trying it out. But I must profess, as an owner of a 2009 Mazda RX8 R3 myself (the same as those in the second video) it doesn't sound anything like a rotary. But otherwise the game looks great
uhhh no you have it in reverse. SOE's dedicated nearly all their resources for the past 8 weeks to optimizing multi-thread processes for the PC version. The regular bi-weekly game updates, new continent Hossin, and PS4 development were pushed aside while patches were/are being developed. Why do you think we didn't see the PS4 version at SOE live in August, and it's now being pushed into early 2014?

Couldn't have said it better myself. The original PSO brought mmo's to console, yet it seems like a sacrilege they don't want to bring PSO 2 to PSV or to the west
